Carpenters Farm, St Mary’s Road, Aingers Green, Great Bentley, Colchester, Essex, CO7 8NJ
Directions to The Hayloft, From London, the South or North (via M25)
From London M25 take Junction 28, A12 Eastbound for approximately 40 miles, then take the A1232/A120 slip road for Colchester N, Clacton / Harwich.
Just after the Colchester football stadium exit where there are services with an M&S food outlet and McDonald’s restaurant and drive through.
After 6-7 miles take the slip road for the A133 Weeley / Clacton and at the roundabout take the first exit.
After approximately ½ mile, turn right onto Heckfords Road (Great Bentley) and continue into the village where there is a staggered crossroads. Go straight over, past the shops, school and over the level crossing onto Plough Road.
Follow this road for one mile, entering the hamlet of Aingers Green. As the houses finish on the left take the left turning onto St Mary’s Road, and after the bend you will see the signpost for The Hayloft holiday cottage on your right.
Turn in to the farm and drive past the Barn Café to the back carpark, you will see a wooden fence to your left – follow this round and park alongside next to the gate and the signs for holiday cottage parking.
The entrance to the property is through the gate.
Direction to The Hayloft, From the East and north via the A14 and A12 (westbound)
From Ipswich take the A12, leaving at Junction 29 A1232/A120 Colchester/Ardleigh/Harwich/Clacton. At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto A120 (E) to Harwich/ Clacton A133
Once on the A133, please follow the directions as above for guests from London/ M25.
Directions to The Hayloft, From Harwich international port via A120 (W)
Follow the A120 (W) for Colchester/ London for approximately 10 miles, then leave at the roundabout 2nd exit onto Harwich Road. After ½ mile turn left and drive for approximately one mile through Ravens Green (please drive slowly this is a single lane road at times)
At the end of the road turn left onto A133 towards Clacton. Then turn right onto Heckfords Road signposted Great Bentley and follow the directions to Aingers Green as above
